Landscape Architecture
The impact of built structures and facilities on the surrounding landscape and the environment can be immense. Landscape architects are instrumental components of the project design team because they work to ensure that any changes to the existing landscape occur with an appropriate sensitivity. The resulting landscape transition from built structures and facilities to the existing surroundings becomes functional, aesthetic, and environmentally amicable.
The landscape architectural staff at Ruekert/Mielke has the expertise and the experience to successfully design the landscape element of public and quasi-public building, facility, and open space projects. We have a varied project background and our portfolio includes landscape planning for office parks and complexes, medical and educational facilities, urban plazas and parks, municipal buildings and facilities, and streetscape projects. We have extensive design experience in Wisconsin and numerous other states across the country, and have developed an intimate knowledge of regional flora, hardscape materials, and other available landscape product components. This includes incorporation of native plants, drought and salt resistant plants and trees, and sustainable landscape features.
